Avocado Toast with Garlic Mushroom

I am a foodie so I like experimenting with my food, adding different ingredients that are easily available. One day, I was searching for something in my fridge to snack on as there was enough time for dinner. I found Guacamole there. I got an ingredient which I can experiment with and I am excited to share with you guys what I made.

I made Vegan Avocado Toast with Garlic Mushroom sounds scrummy. You all might be wondering, why I use mushroom all the time. Being a vegan mushroom is the best choice that can-do wonders in all the recipes.

Avocado is the king of this recipe and the Guacamole made out of it. It has high nutritional value along with its good flavour and rich texture which makes it a healthy component in various dishes, making it versatile. Many different types of vegetables can be added to the toast to make it richer in nutrients. This toast can be eaten in your breakfast, lunch, dinner or in between the meals as a snack. Ingredients

For Garlic mushrooms

  • Mushrooms
  • Garlic clove
  • Olive oil
  • Onion
  • Soy sauce

For guacamole

  • Avocado
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • Handful of Basil
  • Coconut milk

Other ingredients

  • bread or toast
  • Fresh herbs, sesame

Steps to cook

For Garlic mushrooms

  1. Firstly take some mushrooms and clean them properly. After cleaning, chop them into pieces.
  2. Chop the onions and other vegetables, if you wish to have more crunch.
  3. Take a pan and heat the olive oil in it. Add sliced mushrooms to the oil and fry them until they turn golden brown.
  4. After the mushrooms get fried, add chopped onions and garlic to it. (also other veggies if added)
  5. Stir the mushrooms for 1-2 minutes so that they are not left raw.
  6. After they are cooked properly, add one teaspoon of soya sauce to give them a sour flavour and cook them for a few minutes at low flame.

For guacamole

  1. Take an avocado and peel it off. Half it from the center and take the flesh out with a spoon.
  2. Add the flesh into the grinder
  3. Add spices, herbs, one tablespoon of lemon juice and blend it well till it gets a creamy texture.
  4. You can also add cashew paste and coconut milk if you want a more creamy texture.
  5. Take 2 slices of bread and roast them in a pan till they are crispy from both sides.
  6. Spread the guacamole over it and garnish them with garlic mushrooms and veggies.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of herbs over it and it is ready to serve.
